Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build BD.com and various BU sites according to the design and provide designers with feedback and suggest tradeoffs when required
• Implement reusable, modular UI components aligned with enterprise design systems and best practices.
• Work closely with backend developers to understand and properly use the systems APIs
• Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks
• Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
• Build front end web apps to support the required functionality on the website
• Optimize front-end applications for: Core Web Vitals, SEO, WCAG accessibility, Cross-browser compatibility

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years’ Experience as a frontend developer building JavaScript/TypeScript based web applications
• Expert experience with HTML5, CSS/LESS/SCSS/etc., JavaScript, React, Next.js, Angular, Vue.js, (Bonus) Svelte, or other modern frameworks and responsive design.
• Strong knowledge of tools such as Webpack, Vite, Node.js, Storybook, design tokens.
• Mobile development experience with either native or web-to-native tooling and frameworks
• Deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, data-fetching patterns, and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with: AEM content structure & authoring workflows, AEM content fragments, templates, and components (at a conceptual level), How modern front-end frameworks integrate with AEM-powered sites
• Ability to write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience as a Developer on a cross-functional agile team preferred
• Proven experience designing scalable front-end architectures for enterprise web applications.
• Demonstrated experience influencing platform-level direction and best practices.
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions
• Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
• Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently
• Passionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging / disruptive technologies
• Open to learning new ideas outside scope or knowledge skillset

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in technology or related field.
