BD Diagnostic Solutionsis a division of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a global medical technology leader dedicated to advancing the world of health. The Diagnostic Solutions business focuses on enabling accurate, timely and efficient detection of infectious diseases, cancer and other health conditions. Through innovations in microbiology, molecular diagnostics and point-of-care devices and assays, BD Diagnostic Solutions supports customers around the world, whether in high-throughput laboratories or community healthcare clinics, in hospitals or at-home, in delivering better outcomes for patients.

Strong command of SFDC CRM is a core requirement at BD. Sales professionals don’t just use SFDC—they master it. At BD, if it's not in SFDC, it doesn't exist. About the role

The MarketDevelopment Manager (MDM)will be responsible for leading the sales of BD Diagnostic Solutions, developing and implementing commercial plans to achieve set targets. This role is pivotal in driving business growth, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring strategic alignment with the company’s long-term objectives. This position will involve the Levant area, with a primary concentration on Egypt and the Maghreb territories (Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia).

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying new business opportunities - researching market trends, analyzing competition, and identifying potential markets and partnerships that align with the business unit objectives.

  • Strategic planning and execution - developing and implementing strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. This includes setting targets, identifying key performance indicators and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.

  • Building and maintaining relationships - networking extensively to identify potential clients and distributors, attending events, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure sustained business growth.

  • Negotiation and deal closure - presenting BD products, addressing objections, and negotiating terms to close deals effectively.

  • Revenue growth - developing strategies to increase revenue, expand market presence, and align business goals with long-term success.

  • Develop and coordinate annual budgets, strategic reviews, and forecasts in liaison with the business unit guidelines and ensure budget targets are adhered to accordingly.

  • Drive commercial excellence via Sales force effectiveness tools.

  • Actively look for new opportunities, suggest action steps to capitalize on opportunities, effectively implement steps to ensure realization of opportunities; to continuously strive for achievement of stretch targets.

About you

  • Primary degree in Medical, Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, or Laboratory Science.

  • Laboratory background is a must.

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the healthcare or diagnostics field.

  • Prior sales experience in the healthcare industry.

  • Previous experience in the diagnostics field is preferred.

  • Proven track record to lead teams and distributors effectively.

  • Experience working across the Levant region, especially Egypt and the Maghreb.

  • Familiarity with regional healthcare systems and regulatory environments.

  • Strategic problem solver with solid eye for business.

  • Collaborative teammate with a proactive, can-do attitude.

  • Multilingual capabilities (Arabic, French, or English) are a plus.
