Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the accurate placement of individual dosimeters within dosimeter device in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.
• Prepare and maintain an adequate inventory of dosimeters and dosimetry sets required to support scheduled sterilization runs.
• Prepare dosimetry sets for each sterilization run and ensure appropriate identification, handling, and traceability.
• Perform accurate reading of dosimeters using approved spectrophotometers and document results in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare, review, and maintain dosimetry records and reports associated with sterilization runs.
• Maintain and update sterilization monitoring and trending data, including applicable watch or tracking systems.
• Perform and document required daily, weekly, and monthly spectrophotometer checks to ensure equipment remains ready for use.
• Ensure all testing activities and documentation are performed in accordance with approved procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and applicable standards.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and data integrity requirements.
• Support sterilization validation and qualification activities, and report observations from investigations or continuous improvement efforts, as required.
• Demonstrate strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills and collaborate effectively with laboratory and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize assigned activities, and consistently meet established timelines.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support laboratory and sterilization operations.
• Adheres to laboratory safety practices and procedures when operating equipment and handling dosimeters.
• Provides input on new or updated procedures and work instructions as requested.

Qualifications:
Minimum Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred:

• Associates degree preferred.
• Experience working in a hospital environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work with computers.
• Knowledge of basic physics and math concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to work with SAP

Experience:

• Experience in manufacturing, laboratory, medical device, or another regulated environment preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency in operating laboratory equipment (such as spectrophotometer, incubator etc), or ability to learn quickly.
• Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) preferred.

Basic Knowledge and Skills:

• Proactively identify tasks and take action without prompting
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary

Physical Demands:

• Physical demands include activities associated with working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, typically 10-20lbs frequently.
• Must be able to work with forceps and gloves.
• Manual dexterity with small film dosimeters, to place and pull in product without damage

Schedule:  1st Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm ET with additional hours required as needed to support business operations. The role also requires flexibility to work overtime on weekends, atleast one weekends per month, based on operational and production needs.
