SUMMARY

This position is responsible for packaging and assembly of medical products under direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

• Adheres to GMP, safety, personnel and departmental policies as set forth by Standard Operating Procedures and personnel Manual.

• Assembles, packages, inspects and inventories all products and/or components as prescribed by the supervisor per operation Process Specifications.

• Maintains and accurately records all pertinent information necessary on time sheets, control forms, move tickets, etc.

• Reports any unusual occurrences that may affect the quality, form, fit or function of any products and/or components associated with the Production Department.

• Assures that all cleaning and/or sanitizing of the workstation have been performed prior to production start-up.

• Maintains efficiency levels as defined by Industrial Engineering Standards.

• Maintains product/component segregation.

• Performs other related duties as required or requested by Production Management.

• Attends training sessions as directed.

• Helps train other production operators as directed.

• Conforms to new processes and procedures as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Degree or GED preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions. 

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisor, production clerk and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to complete basic math calculations.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to apply common sense when carrying out instructions furnished in written or oral form. 

• Ability to be a self-starter with the initiative to perform job responsibilities without direct supervision. 

• Accuracy, completeness and attention to detail are essential.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.  The employee is often required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Employee is required to meet with other personnel in other areas of the building.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

A person in this job will occasionally be exposed to moderate to occasionally loud noise and will work near moving mechanical parts.  This is a manufacturing clean room environment.
