Job Description Summary

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for making sure the procurement process is organized and aligned with the company’s objectives. The person will work closely with the Warehouse and Distribution Center, Accounts Payable, the Quality Team, IT and Supply Chain. The Procurement Coordinator manages the correct entry of advanced shipping notifications (ASNs) within the JDE supply chain system. This role involves utilizing JDE functionality to collect and enter shipping information, such as contents, quantities, and delivery details, between finish good OEM suppliers and BD Covington. The goal is to enhance supply chain visibility, streamline receiving processes, prevent discrepancies to enable on-time payment of the suppliers, and ensure timely delivery by providing accurate pre-shipment information to BD’s systems. The Procurement Coordinator assists with additional administrative and coordinative duties as assigned and which occur within Procurement across all UCC platforms.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated starter, ideally with work experience in Purchasing, Receiving and with JDE Oracle or any other ERP system. Attention to detail and organizational skills are key elements to success in this role.
This role has a direct impact on improving plant on-time delivery. Key KDGs (key decision goals) are supply disruption avoidance, reduced supplier backorder, increase of on-time delivery and identifying/executing opportunities for PPV, and modifying/right-sizing supply.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of advanced shipping notifications (ASNs) in an ERP system (JDE)

• Comparing purchase orders with packing lists.

• Identifying system errors and working with Procurement and IT on its resolution

• Supplier communication to follow up and verify shipping details.

• Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.

• Must adhere to all established policies, work instructions, and SOPs. 

• Other Procurement related work around purchase order management.

• Regular and reliable attendance at work 

Minimum Requirement:

• Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
