Our vision for “function or BU” at BD

As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team provide a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anaesthesia and closed medication management.

About the role

As a Business Analyst you will create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. They will be responsible for providing insight and commercial excellence, support with sales analysis, report forecasting, budgets, ASR, market data analysis, pricing and Ad Hoc projects along with enhancing our business intelligence system to assist in more insightful business decisions.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions. Providing clear, concise reports (on various platforms- excel/PowerPoint etc.) from various sets of data.
• Work closely with the commercial team to assess distributor performance via analytics and the implementation of the DPMP (Data Protection Management Programme) tool.
• Coordinate, analyze and inform on the monthly supply chain forecasting provided by the team and work closely with the regional supply chain team.
• Provide thorough pricing analysis and data insight to assist pricing strategies across the region
• Presenting information through reports and visualization
• Critical analysis of demand and supply to ensure robust forecasting and business planning
• Own and be accountable for various developed data models, analysis tools and presentation formats
• Develop a clear understanding of markets, regions and products in order to provide appropriate analysis of the market, trends etc.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and BD core values
• Develop KPIs and create reports and analysis to support the Marketing and Commercial organization
• Providing data to the business for the preparation of budget, projection & ASR
• Provide secondary sales & inventory data analysis & insights

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or similar role preferably in healthcare/medical devices industry.
• Highly proficient in MS Office suite (Power BI is a nice to have)
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements using various techniques such as process mapping, use cases, storyboards, workflows, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Solid understanding of database concepts and data modeling
