Join BD’s EMEA Supply Chain Center of Excellence and play a key role in ensuring seamless medication delivery across Europe. As a Supply & Inventory Planner for our Medication Management Solutions portfolio, you’ll manage inventory levels, coordinate sourcing across global networks, and drive supply planning through the IBP process. You’ll work closely with a skilled team to optimize stock availability and support critical healthcare operations.We’re looking for a supply chain professional with a degree in Business or related field, 3+ years of planning experience, and strong skills in SAP, Excel, and data analysis. You’re fluent in English, detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
This role is based in the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. Candidates must hold a valid Swiss work visa or have existing work authorization.
Job Description
From hospital pharmacy to patient bedside, our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) portfolio includes infusion and IV therapy systems, pumps, software, interoperability tools, and vascular access devices. Our mission: protect every infusion for every patient, every time.
With our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, reducing inefficiency and waste for nursing and pharmacy teams.
Your main responsabilities:
Supply & Inventory Planning
Ensure regional service level achievement for assigned product groups
Monitor Regional Alert Monitors and manage short supply allocation decisions
Define planning strategies (MTO/MTS/ATO) aligned with manufacturing practices
Collaborate with global planning to maintain lead times and optimize inventory levels
Coordinate with global teams to manage long-term supply shortages and fair share deployment
Partner with warehouse and transportation teams to forecast inbound and storage volumes
IBP Process Facilitation
Lead Regional Demand/Supply Reviews and represent EMEA in global IBP forums
Interface with global planners and IBP process owners
Support global supply chain initiatives to improve forecast accuracy and reduce costs
Business Performance Management
Own key metrics: backorder, inventory turns, FDS, line fill, OTIF
Liaise with cross-functional leadership to align supply plans with business strategy
Drive product changes and launches with global supply partners
Maintain strong visibility of global issues impacting regional product availability
About You:
A degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (APICS certification is a plus)
3+ years of experience in supply and inventory planning within a complex organization
Proficiency in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Business-level fluency in English (additional European languages are a plus)
A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Compensation range for this position: 100 000 to 110 000 CHF / year fixe
