We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager (f/m/d) to lead the production planning and site supply services teams being accountable for product availability and optimized production plans regarding capacity, product sequence, cost and time.The Supply Chain Manager ensures predictable material flow from (in-)direct material procurement to shipment of the finished goods and will be located in Heidelberg, Germany.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the local planning, procurement & logistic team
- Manage and continuously improve local end-to-end supply chain process
- Ensure availability of (in-)direct material and services at quality, cost, and right quantity
- Activiely manage supplier base and performance
- Support the global S&OP process
- Balance long term planning with available capacity and proactively managing local manufacturing load
- Prepare and communicate manufacturing metrics and analyze deviations
- Ensures master data are set up correctly and maintained
- Develop and implement efficiency programs to reduce cost, lead time and eliminate waste
- Implement, maintain and improve software tools for supply and planning processes and function as superuser
- Manage actions and communication on supply status
- Support regional and global SCM projects and contribute to the global BD SCM network
Profile
- Degree in business economics/administration with focus on material management and production planning
- 3-5 years of experience in process industry (Food, Pharma or Chemical)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role with leadership responsibility
- Proficient in production planning and S&OP, APICS Certification (CPIM)
- Strong computer skills (MS Office) and expert in SAP R/3, business warehouse and connected systems
- Working independently and proactive, enthusiastic change agent
- Balancing hands on mentality with strategic approach
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in German and English
