Is responsible to effectively plan, direct and coordinate all manufacturing and related service departments, e.g., Engineering, Quality Control, Finance and Human Resources of the Puerto Rico and Delran manufacturing facilities, to achieve efficient and economical manufacturing to conform with established Division objectives and goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain close supervision over all plant operations through management reports, staff meetings and personal observations to assure coordination and integration of work flow, timely production, budgetary conformance, schedules, and proper utilization of personnel, equipment and facility.
• Maintains close ties with Division and Corporate and other support functions to maximize free exchange of information and resources.
• Establish and implement long-range and short-term plans, operating policies, etc, which complement Plant-wide goals, plans and objectives.
• Assist, advise and otherwise expedite manufacturing and related problems by utilizing staff personnel to resolve and implement corrective procedures.
• Coordinate and direct major projects as required.
• Act as liaison and facilitator between Corporate management, Divisions support services and the Puerto Rico Manufacturing Operations.
• Plan and determine manpower requirements based on forecast and administer such program in conjunction with Division Management.
• Assures Cost Savings projects are stimulated throughout the facility.
• Assures compliance programs in the Plants Environmental Safety and Quality Systems and Quality Systems are instituted and followed.
• Reviews, approves and proposes building, machinery and equipment improvements as deemed necessary.
• Assures adequate coordination between the Plant’s Departments is being followed to achieve Company goals.
• Periodically reviews and assures Plant Financial goals are being met.  Adjust resources as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum BS/BA in an engineering discipline.  Advance degree preferred
• Ten (10) years direct experience in medical device manufacturing with hands-on experience in multiple disciplines (supply chain management, manufacturing and quality engineering, production supervision).
• Hours of operation are flexible and vary depending on job requirements. Typical work week is 40 hours with additional/variable hours for specific work periods and projects. Specific work days and hours are flexible and may change with advance notice
• The nature of the work requires occasional exposure to chemicals, noise. Occasional exposure to machinery and non-ionizing radiation
