Position Summary
The Third Shift Operator/Set Up will be responsible for the operations, minor mechanic repairs, adjustment and troubleshooting for the assembly area and the packaging area. The Operator/Set Up is responsible for the function of the line of production, including corrective and preventive actions to secure the quality and continues flow of the products following the procedures that apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
Final product and quality of it
Meeting the production goals and quality of products as established by the procedures that apply to each product
Operate the machine at the optimum speed in compliance with OSHA, QSR and ISO13485 regulations
Manage raw materials, production supplies and work in process
Align with all documentation required following the GMP practices
Enter production confirmation into MRP
Use Statistical Process Control to maintain the process control of the products and meet products requirements
Make use of the 5S to keep the machine and area clean and organized
Must detect and evaluate product deviations from the specifications and must be capable to correct, adjust or change the machinery to meet quality and production standards
Must report any safety hazard to the supervisor
Participate of the decisional process and must perform their functions with or without direct supervision
Keep the equipment and tools in optimal conditions; these include daily maintenance and preventive maintenance
Report to engineering and/or to maintenance of any machine malfunction
Maintain communication with manufacturing supervisors
Differentiate between electronic and mechanical malfunctions in order to advise the engineering and maintenance department
Evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance and recommend changes as necessary. Must perform any other duties assign by the production supervisor
Knowledge and Skills
Working knowledge in electronics, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
Able to read and understand drawings and schematics
Able to communicate, be a teammate, initiative, should be efficient and effective in the search for solutions
Working knowledge of measuring instruments
Freely move products or heavy equipment
Education and Experience
Technical Certification on Industrial Mechanic, Electronics or any related industrial certification
Knowledge in MS Office and design program
1 year of experience in the Medical Device and/or Pharmacy industries or Cosmetics industries
Experience in the maintenance of automated industrial machines or tooling
Experience with equipment of form fills seal specifically Tiromat, Multivac or Mahaffy
Preferable bilingual (Spanish & English)
