This role reports to the Marketing lead for MDS and involves leading the national marketing plan for identified World Wide platforms within the MDS Business. The position requires someone who can handle product positioning, customer segmentation, and development of annual strategic marketing plans.

Join us now as the Product Manager, MDS, where you will lead the national marketing plan for the identified World Wide platforms within the MDS Business. You will report to the Marketing lead for MDS, and, in this respect, will play a role in the planning and execution of the MDS Canada strategy for the identified product(s). Specifically, you will be accountable for the product positioning, customer segmentation and development of annual strategic marketing plans. Elements will include the planning and alignment of execution strategies to accelerate sales and expand MDS Canada’s footprint within specific growth platforms.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain expert market knowledge in terms of quantitative and qualitative market data

  • Analyze, interpret and report market data and trends to assist with the deployment of specific actions to maximize business opportunities and minimize potential threats

  • Assist with the development of annual business plans and long-term strategic plans

  • Organize and co-ordinate product launches including support of regulatory strategy for product licensing

  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing communication programs across all elements of the communications mix

  • Provide data, information and support to the MDS sales teams, enabling competitive advantages to be realized on a regional basis

  • Align with the World Wide platform to forecast and build a national strategy for Canada

  • Test and implement sales training to improve product positioning and brand

  • Support and participate in sales planning, opportunity management and customer engagements

  • Support and participate in GPO planning, RFP’s and unique market demands

  • Support and participate in Clinical Services development of KOL’s / Advocacy strategies

  • Support and maintain distributor relationships for key portfolios including execution of go-to-market strategies, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A BA or BSc degree (or equivalent)
  • 2-5 years of marketing experience
  • Excellent analytical skills and high levels of numeracy
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Self-initiative and ability to work without constant supervision
  • Well-organized with excellent process management skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 35%-40% of the time
  • Minimum 4 days of in-office presence per week

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior marketing experience
  • MBA
  • Medical device experience
  • Understanding of CRM (SFDC) databases for marketing campaigns
  • Bilingual in French/English
