By aligning and streamlining our work, our Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business unit aims to drive growth and innovation in everything from integrated sample management to diagnostic solutions. The Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) unit is currently seeking:

The Front–End software developer Designs, develops, modifies, adapts and implements short– and long–term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, specifically for but not restricted to embedded software and firmware. Reviews software requirements and business processes; codes, tests, Validation debugs and implements software solutions.

Job Description

Functions and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to specify, plan, design, develop, test, validation, and support software components as assigned.
• Responsible for translating requirements into design and implementation of well–structured and documented software components.
• Implement new software component designs or enhancements to existing software products; participates in the implementation of more complex subsystems and systems.
• Troubleshoot/debug issues within existing automation systems and implements modifications to resolve these issues.
• Actively participates in meetings e.g. developer meetings.
• Works towards team goals and works effectively in a team environment.
• Develops effort estimation skills.
• Is technically curious and continuously improves coding skills.
• Perform other duties as they are assigned.

Knowledge and Skills 

• Knowledge of the software development process.
• Must be capable of independent work; self–starter, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Effective skills on analytical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal relationships, written and oral communication.
• Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of Industrial/Regulated Environment highly desirable.
• Fluent in English and Spanish languages (written, read and oral).

Education and Experience ​

• BS Degree in Computer Science preferred or a related discipline and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience with Agile software development.
