Job Description Summary

The Senior Analysist – Global Trade Compliance reports to the Global Trade Compliance Manager and is responsible for supporting Global Trade compliance initiatives and their execution. This is a shared service, corporate position supporting all BD business segments and enterprises worldwide. This position works closely with Global Trade management to ensure compliance with US import regulations, while ensuring that overall organization objectives are supported.

Responsibilities

• Analyze import (ACE) trade data to generate key metrics and management reports.

• Utilizing import data, prepare data to support BD's import compliance initiatives, such as ISA.

• Assist in coordination and implementation of periodic import compliance reviews and ensure corrective actions are in place and function as needed.

• Assist in determining eligibility for various Free Trade Agreements, specifically USMCA.

• Conduct HTS classification determinations, including gathering and analyzing technical data in connection with product/parts classification projects.

• Conduct COO determination.

• Assist in developing trade compliance training materials and presentations.

• Assist in developing and maintaining policies, procedures and work instructions regarding compliance with import laws, regulations and administrative practices.

• Assist with post entry functions such as reconciliation, post summary corrections and protests.

• Support monitoring Global Trade Compliance email box for daily imports at the southern border, and general import / export inquiries.

• Assist with other related trade compliance projects or duties assigned.

• Administer and control all accounting related tasks for the department such as accounts payable, new supplier set up and purchase order maintenance.

Minimum Requirement:

• Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 5-10 years experience in Global Trade Compliance

• GTS preferred

• Licensed Customs Broker preferred
