About the role:

The Senior Analyst, Product Data Management reports to the Business Process Excellence (BPE) organization and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of Biosciences Reagent master data, particularly material and product standard costs. This role works closely with Finance, Operations, and New Product Development teams to support operational goals, drive master data creation for new products, and maintain ongoing data accuracy in SAP. The analyst also leads process improvements, contributes to strategic planning, and serves as a subject matter expert in SAP and related systems.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintains the integrity of the SAP ECC/SCM master data and works with business process teams on issue resolution.
  • Responsible for maintaining Biosciences (Reagents and Instruments) master data with focus on superior technical and customer service.
  • Identify all costing data attributes in the system and periodically assesses impact to plant performance based on erroneous costing data in the system.
  • Implement a clear plan to correct costing parameters working through MDC and Functional SMEs.
  • Identify root cause of deviation in PPV and cost performance and report with countermeasures.
  • Assists in development, maintenance and communication of metrics, workflow tools, and reports to ensure accuracy of master data and support continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate to be knowledgeable in all applicable master data staff techniques, operation of relevant software applications and system tools associated with the test and production environment of SAP and/or Halfpipe / PLM application, FileMaker or other applications
  • Actively participates in the Master Data and Enterprise Data Governance teams, working closely with the BPE teams to ensure consistency in master data related initiatives across the Biosciences business.
  • Conducts and coordinates training of other associates in required techniques, operation of SAP transactions, software applications, and other relevant group or department procedures
  • Assists in development, maintenance, and communication of metrics, workflow tools, and reports to ensure accuracy of master data and support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with cross site Master Data coordinators and Business/Corporate teams to standardize processes, procedures where applicable, identify process improvements, and define governance best practices.
  • Performs regular checks in system to identify master data issues and works with Master data coordinators and functional SME to correct MD issues
  • Maintains KPIs and dashboards of MD issues and reports back on progress

About you:

A successful candidate for this role will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to coach, influence, manage conflict, and present effectively in group settings. They should possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with solid time management and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with SAP master data are essential, as is the capability to analyze and resolve data-related issues while maintaining accurate processes and guidelines.

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in SAP design/implementation with a good understanding of all SAP master data and material number assignment systems
  • Experience in material/product stand cost assignment and processes with focus on master data accuracy requirements to ensure correct and timely release of material master standard costing
  • At least 3 years project leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of SAP data fields and their interdependencies with related data fields along with a good understanding of the importance of all data elements
  • Strong knowledge of reporting functionality, SAP BI and Power BI, and ability to extract wide variety of data reports.
  • Experience in use of data automation tools (such as Innowera or Winshuttle) to support data loads, mass changes, and reduce manual data entry in applicable processes
  • Knowledgeable of structured documentation and change control systems, tools for process improvement, Quality System Regulations, New Product Introduction, GMP & FDA regulatory requirements and ISO 9000 guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Halfpipe / PLM application and functionality
  • Experience working in the Life Science industry
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, Project Management Professional, and Agile certification
