Summary
Specifically looking for an Oncology Nurse if possible for this role.
The Senior Clinical Practice Consultant is responsible for assisting escalations and response to customer sites to assist when infusion product issues both device and disposables have been identified and escalated through the Product Complaint department and/or the product monitoring process.  This individual also collaborates and assists with Escalation, Quality, MMS, MDS, Medical Affairs and Marketing teams in proactively reaching out to customers on reported BD Alaris device and disosables complaints. The individual must have a customer centric focus while interacting with customers, as well as employees. Responsibilities include the need to prioritize clinical practice issues, concerns regarding reported issues and best practices with utilizing the Alaris device and disposables products, as well as managing urgent requests from customers and internal BD leadership, external and internal customers, as well as BD leadership. The Senior Clinical Practice Consultant can be onsite within a 24 hour notice as our goal during an escalation is to maintain our customers confidence and trust in our products.  The Senior Clinical Practice Consultant provides onsite observations which are communicated to the BD investigative teams to aid in the reported issues.  Proper use of BD Alaris device and disposables and demonstration of best practices as needed.

Position Summary

The Senior Clinical Practice Consultant serves as a critical liaison between BD and healthcare customers, responding to escalations related to BD Alaris infusion devices and disposables. This role requires a customer-centric professional who can quickly respond to site visits to investigate reported product issues, observe clinical practices, and communicate findings to BD investigative teams. The consultant works collaboratively with multiple internal teams including Escalation, Quality, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to maintain customer confidence and trust while ensuring proper product use and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Technical

  • Conduct onsite customer visits to investigate reported device or disposable issues

  • Round to clinical units, Biomedical departments, and Central Supply to gather information

  • Communicate findings to internal BD investigative teams

  • Develop remedial customer education/support plans to address non-compliance with infusion standard processes

  • Demonstrate advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to BD infusion products

  • Provide feedback for development/revision of customer education materials

  • Establish and recommend actions to address suboptimal clinical practices

  • Mentor team members and internal staff on products, best practices, and customer education

Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate communication flow between internal teams and customers

  • Manage timelines for scheduling site visits and completing reports

  • Respond to assigned questions in the CPC mailbox in a timely manner

  • Facilitate customer meetings and conference calls regarding BD infusion products

  • Establish rapport with customers to build long-term business relationships

  • Communicate Quality System requirements


Administrative

  • Maintain accurate account documentation

  • Complete internal company documentation in a timely manner

  • Follow all BD Policies and Procedures

  • Monitor and provide updates on escalated issues

  • Determine own work priorities

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with flexibility to adapt to change


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with current, active Registered Nurse license

  • 6-10 years of relevant professional experience

  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

  • Current immunizations (Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, Annual TB/PPD, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis)

  • Valid driver's license meeting BD's auto safety requirements (must be at least 21 years old)

  • Strong critical thinking skills in clinical settings

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) at all organizational levels

  • Demonstrated project and team management experience in field settings

  • Proficiency with software platforms including Outlook, TrackWise, Qlikview, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and OneNote


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred with emphasis on clinical infusion practice

  • Experience in Oncology preferred

  • Experience with Alaris System Platform
