Plan, design and coordinate the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and related engineering activities to support new product development projects and manufacturing scale-up, as well as existing production. Lead Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) efforts to improve manufacturability for new product development and technology teams. Hybrid schedule: In office Monday–Thursday, remote on Fridays; 8am–5pm
Responsibilities:
Plan, design and coordinate the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and related engineering activities.
Use Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) methodology to rapidly detect potential failure modes and retire risks that impact investment, return, and launch predictability
Partner with product design and development teams and ultilize DFMA to ensure robust manufacturability of new products. Assist in traning of DFMA methodology to BD associates.
Accountable for process development from concept through market launch to meet business objectives.
Applies six-sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies to ensure optimization of new processes.
Supports development of machine specifications and acceptance protocols equipment acquisition.
Interface with personnel from R&D, Device Molding, Quality, Manufacturing, other GIE teams, and outside vendors.
Participate in the evaluation and assessment of new technologies, intellectual property, products, processes and industry trends that can or have the potential to impact our global business
Lead projects as assigned.
Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.

Minimum Requirement:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be in engineering or related scientific field
Experience:
- Preferred 8–10 years minimum
- Must have strong manufacturing experience (not just R&D)
- Experience in both manufacturing and R&D a bonus
