Title: Sr. Manager, Strategic Marketing

Location: Tokyo

Business Unit: Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM)

Report to: Group Manager, Marketing

Position Summary

As a global leader in innovative medical devices, we are committed to advancing healthcare delivery in Japan. The Sr. Manager, Strategic Marketing plays a critical role in maximizing market access and driving the successful launch of high-value products. This position will lead strategic initiatives that directly influence business growth—from shaping market-entry plans to executing launch excellence and supporting cross‑functional project leadership. The role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on the business while contributing to improved patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of strategic initiatives to maximize market access for new and existing products.
  • Develop, propose, and implement business plans for the introduction and expansion of strategically important products.
  • Drive Japan market readiness for pipeline and newly developed products, including assessment, planning, and execution.
  • Lead and support ad-hoc strategic projects that contribute to business growth.
  • Oversee progress and governance of major projects, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and timely delivery.
  • Identify and propose effective tools, approaches, and methodologies to enhance project execution and organizational effectiveness.

Required Experience & Skills

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of marketing or product management experience in the medical device industry.
  • Proven experience leading product launches.
  • Strong background in developing and executing business plans or business cases.
  • Experience engaging with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Required Skills

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to conceptualize and develop new frameworks, approaches, and tactics.
  • Sound business judgment and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
  • Business-level English (active participation in email communication and meetings).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of the Japanese healthcare system and reimbursement environment.
  • Experience collaborating with regulatory, academic, or governmental stakeholders.
  • Project management experience.

  • 製品上市(ローンチ)の実務経験
