Job Description
Position Overview:
Under general supervision of the Director of Operations, you are responsible for overall operational performance of the Inventory and Warehouse functions. Oversee the control of related inventory programs and the organization of the warehouse operations to promote inventory accuracy and reduction and overall transactional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Hire and train Inventory Control and Warehouse Associate team.
Oversee the job assignments and activities of Inventory Control and Warehouse teams.
Oversee daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
Oversee item master, identifying inventory anomalies and issues with transactions or any aspect of the inventory program.
Investigate items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
Communicate with other Supply Chain Departments as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
Manage and operate trunk replenishment program.
Ensure warehouse and inventory milestones and goals are met.
Ensure adherence to approved budget.
Oversee creation and delivery of monthly operational metrics.
Ensure that all issues and opportunities are clearly communicated in a timely manner.
Oversee Warehouse Supervisor and warehouse team to ensure operational effectiveness.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or another related field
5-10 years of inventory management experience including cycle count and physical inventory programs
Previous experience with manufacturing preferred
Expert in Business Analytics
Working knowledge of ERP systems- Great Plains preferred
Previous experience in people management and leadership
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent communication skills; ability to work across a variety of departments
Accountability/Results Driven with a Commitment to Quality
Capability to develop, motivate and review team member’s progress
Strong problem-solving abilities, ability to provide and support company vision and direction
Proven record of warehouse organization and planning in a fast-paced setting
Work environment and physical demands
The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. This position will be subject to mostly controlled but potential varying internal environmental conditions, including changes in temperature and noise that are within acceptable safety levels common to a warehouse environment.
Work may involve long-term standing, sitting and frequent walking throughout areas such as warehouse, assembly or machine shop as well as navigating common hazards related to these areas.
Work will be primarily working with fingers by picking, pinching, typing, and grasping often with repetitive motion.
Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds
occasionally.
Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk.
Weekend and overtime work may be required.
Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
While COVID-19 precautions are in effect, this role requires use of face masks/face coverings while working in our facilities.
