***Night Shift D-Crew***

Hours 7pm to 7am

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely operates powered industrial forklifts in a warehouse and a high traffic production environment.  Operator must carry out to detailed policies and procedures including but not limited to safety inspections, GMP requirements, use of safety equipment.

• Forklift operator runs manufacturing material kitting areas through an electronic manufacturing execution system.  Tools include a handheld RF scanner, work orders, barcodes, locations, and license plates.  Primary responsibility is to maintain sufficient supply of raw materials, molded components, and subassemblies to ensure a continuous flow of production.

• Forklift operator must harmonize with production personnel to resolve timing of product changes to ensure timely delivery of new materials and accurate returns of old materials to the warehouse.  Forklift operator must unwrap pallets being placed on production floor and remove scrap bins from manufacturing areas. Forklift operator must also prepare bulk non-sterile products for shipment by stretch wrapping pallets and placing in appropriate location on the shipping floor.

• Additional duties include stocking stopper room, stocking manufacturing label cabinets, transports manufacturing scrap product to reclamation, transports molded components to storage areas, restacking and preparing safety glide needle bulk bins for shipment to the Columbus plant. Supports additional logistics functions such as loads box room, removes finished goods to e-beam holding area, and assists or backs up receiving personnel when required. Follows all quality procedures for non-conforming materials and special handling requirements.

• Maintains good housekeeping of warehouse, material kitting areas, and receiving dock.  Notifies supervisor of problems and damages.

• Proactively participate in problem solving methods through CI activities, (Blitz’s, Kaizens, KAS)

• Operators must optimally agree with the others to ensure effective shift transfer and communication.

• Support business needs by working overtime as vital to satisfy schedule requirement

Education and / or Experience:

• HS Diploma/GED OR 2 years of industrial/manufacturing related experience
• Prior Forklift experience

Safety

• Participate fully to achieve the department’s safety goals.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Hold self-accountable to follow all safety policies & procedures.

• Debrief accidents and implement solutions to eliminate root cause.

• Hold team members to safety standards/regulations & policies.
