1st shift – Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Thorough training in advanced machining principles and operations involved in multi-axis machining and setups.

• Have the ability to use CAD/CAM software to design parts and develop machine programs for milling and turning operations.

• Have the ability to use all hand and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, travel dials, etc.)

• Have ability to run machine tools in the shop (CNC mills, lathes, grinders, torches, welders, heat treat, saws).

• Ability to work with all technicians, machine designers, engineers on plant wide projects, with a proven strength in walk-ins and hot jobs.

• Fabricate parts for production equipment.

• Fabricate and repair parts for prototype equipment components and assistance with assembly of machinery as needed.

• Assist engineers in solving problems.

• Recommend and make modifications as necessary.

• Install parts on production equipment as requested.

• Assist in the troubleshooting of production equipment as needed.

• May be required to order materials and schedule tool room work for others as necessary.

• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

DELIVERABLES

• Fabrication support for facility maintenance and tool crib.

SUPERVISION

• Does not have direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education:

This position has the following educational requirements:

Required

• H.S, Diploma/GED

Preferred

• Associates Degree in Tool and Die

Minimum Experience:

• 3 years’ experience in the Tool & Die field.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities (KSA’s): 

Basic or Simple KSA

• Troubleshooting

• Equipment repair

• Teamwork

• Written/oral communication

Proficient/ Working KSA

• Blueprint reading

• Machinery

• Mechanical aptitude
