Key Responsibilities:

Identifyfocus areas forcritical innovation projects

• Conductclinical observations and stakeholder interviewsto understand theproblemspace.Identify,draftand refine needs statements accordingly.

• Scope, quantify and prioritizeneeds toidentifyhigh-value opportunities across diverse patient populations (leveragingstructured rubrics to evaluate needs,quantitative surveys,and /orhealth economic value calculation).

• Collaboratewith cross-functional and cross-regional teamsto incorporate global perspectivesand develop strong knowledge of our global customer base.

Translate insightstoinnovation opportunities:

• Analyze research data and facilitate cross-functional interpretationstodrive new opportunities for innovation.

• Set up the context from triangulated insights for early-stage concept development and filtering based on feasibility, differentiation, and market fit 

• Contributeto Sensinghub(clinical, commercial, user, etc.) for continuousfeedbackleading tonewdesignconsiderationsornew innovationopportunities. 

• Conduct field visits and attend conferences toestablisha deep understanding of customers and bring insights back to the UCC business.

• Change management and communication 

• Provide regular updates to key stakeholders to bring awarenessand build engagementininnovationpractices and progress. 

• Hostinnovationtraining events to empower UCC’s innovation engine.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineeringrequired

• Trainedandexperienced withimplementingformalinnovationmethodsand processes,i.e.Biodesign, Design Thinking,Jobsto beDone,andDesign forSix Sigma (DFSS).

• Minimum of3years experiencein healthcare innovation, preferably in urology, critical care, or infection prevention.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ethnographic and observational processes to uncoverunspoken unmet needs
