Reporting to the APM Business Unit Director, the National Clinical Solutions Specialist is a strategic clinical role responsible for national clinical leadership, opportunity development, and clinical execution across the Canadian APM portfolio, with a primary focus on advanced hemodynamic monitoring technologies. This field based role should reside in British Columbia, Ontario or Quebec.

This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Product teams to identify, support, and develop new clinical opportunities, lead clinical evaluations and implementations, and ensure consistent, high-quality clinical support across Canada. The NCSS acts as a subject matter expert (SME), key opinion leader (KOL) liaison, and clinical strategist, enabling growth while maintaining clinical excellence and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

Clinical Strategy & Opportunity Development

  • Serve as the national clinical expert for the APM portfolio, with deep specialization in advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Partner with Sales and Sales Leadership to identify, qualify, and support new clinical opportunities, including net-new accounts and expansions within strategic customers.
  • Develop and lead process improvement initiatives to ensure positive system hospital adoption of processes and products, demonstrating improved patient outcomes
  • Lead and support clinical evaluations, pilots, and product trials, ensuring strong clinical adoption and successful conversion to standard of care where applicable.
  • Design and execute implementation plans for new customers, including workflows, training pathways, and clinical best practices.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and clinical problem-solving support during evaluations and early commercialization.
  • Validate and support software and hardware updates in the field, as required.

Education, Training & Enablement

  • Develop, standardize, and continuously improve national clinical training curricula, materials, and tools for customers and internal teams.
  • Deliver advanced education on device theory, physiology, workflow integration, implementation, and clinical interpretation.
  • Provide structured and ad hoc education to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and internal personnel in alignment with SOPs.

Key Opinion Leader (KOL) & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, proctors, and clinical champions across Canada.
  • Support clinical evidence discussions, best-practice sharing, and peer-to-peer education initiatives.
  • Capture and communicate voice-of-customer insights to Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Product teams.
  • Provide routine follow-up support to customers, develop, and maintain a national database of reference users

Portfolio & Market Insights

  • Maintain deep knowledge of the full Advanced Patient Monitoring portfolio, competitive landscape, and evolving clinical standards.
  • Monitor market trends, clinical practice changes, and competitor activity; share insights with leadership, sales team, marketing and cross-functional partners.
  • Act as a trusted clinical advisor internally, supporting launches, messaging refinement, and portfolio expansion.

Compliance & Collaboration

  • Ensure adherence to medical device regulations, adverse event reporting, device accountability, and company policies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Service teams.
  • Represent APM on national initiatives, pilot programs, and strategic projects.

Education and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or Respiratory Therapy Anesthesiologist, or Anesthesia Assistant related education.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on clinical experience in a hospital environment, specifically: ICU / Critical Care, Operating Room (OR), Emergency Room (ER) as a Registered Nurse (RN), Respiratory Therapist, Anesthesiologist, and or Anesthesia Assistant, may include 3+ years experience in medical devices, clinical applications (or advanced monitoring preferred).

Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite and ability to operate general office machinery
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Moderate knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular science
  • Moderate understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology
  • Moderate understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and documents, device accountability and adverse events reporting
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the organization on specific projects
  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Work Environment:

  • Field based position, requiring up to 60% travel, candidates should reside in British Columbia, Ontario and/or Quebec, and live near a major airport to facilitate travel
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a past clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years, as well as meet auto safety standards.
  • As part of the onboarding process, new hires must be able to travel to the U.S. for training purposes within the first six (6) months of employment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset 
  • Strong background in critical care, cardiology, anesthesia, or hemodynamic monitoring highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting clinical evaluations, implementations, or complex technology adoption strongly preferred.

Salary ranges have been implemented to reward associates fairly and competitively, as well as to support recognition of associates’ progress, ranging from entry level to experts in their field, and talent mobility. There are many factors that contribute to the range displayed. The range displayed iscomprisedof wages, which includes base salary and commission, as well as certain components of our bonus programs. The salary offered to a successful candidate may vary based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, education, skills, qualifications, and work location.

Salary Range Information: $85000 - $135000 CADAnnual.
