Job Description

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

 The activities and responsibilities listing are not restrictive nor limiting. The manager or superior has the
prerogative to assign other activities or responsibilities depending on the company necessities and of our clients at any moment.
 Provides programs and buying orders to providers according to the agreed method, and based on the individual characteristics of every supplier, material, or demand behavior.
 Inspects and responds to the messages and MRP information generated by JDE when required.
 Establish alongside the Purchasing Manager, the procurement method with the providers.
 Prepares, calculates, and reports to the department manager PPV of raw material.
 Monitors the discrepant material disposition and execution as needed in all its codes.
 Utilizes the Electronic Device Master Record System (EDMS) to inspect component specifications.
 Responsible for the complete process from buying planning until corresponding payment for every one
of its assigned part numbers or raw materials.
 Provides information to be utilized in MRB meetings as required.
 Participates in Cost Savings Improvement Programs.
 Participation in the supply chain process improvement.
 Supports Customs with NAFTA programs.
 Establishes and maintains inventory appropriate levels.
 Ensures the arrival in time of material, optimizing freight costs.
 Works with the Production Planner to review and respond to the production necessities.
 Handles and requires material from CIMSA warehouse.
 Gives support to the business unit in activities such as scrap reduction programs, Kan -Ban, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing initiatives, etc.
 Runs and analyzes the shift inventory reports.
 Utilizes the different computer available programs to generate analysis reports as required.
 Works in coordination with support departments, customs, traffic, IQA, etc., when deliveries/materials need to be expedited.

 Contacts the transport companies for delivery expedite.
 Defines and maintains the planning parameters of the JDE ERP/MRP system for its correct functioning.
 Analyzes, investigates, and corrects the JDE MRP problems results before executing the messages.
 Handles key providers.
 Buys complex products such as resins, chemicals, vinyls, silicones, etc. (raw material).
 Handles overseas suppliers (China, Malaysia, Europe).
 Handles suppliers that are in a constant limited capacity situation and those who need to be guided giving them priorities.
 Ability to communicate and act in conjunction with planning when the delivery plans are not sufficient to cover sales.

Education and Experience:
A professional career with a degree or certificate preferably.
Minimum 4 years of experience in buying preferably.
Abilities in computing / Windows / MS office.
Certification in APICS or ISM is highly preferred.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is required.

Language Skills: Intermediate
