Job Description

As a Production Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our automated manufacturing operation running smoothly. This is a varied, hands-on position where you’ll operate sophisticated production equipment, carry out preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair electro-mechanical faults, and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime and maintain high standards of quality.

You’ll work a 11pm–11am shift, full compensation including37% shift premium of £42 500 per annum plus benefits.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two shifts are quite the same. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating production machinery, supporting assembly activities, covering breaks and completing pallet release duties
• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbishing offline machinery
• Diagnosing and repairing electro-mechanical faults
• Setting up manufacturing equipment and ensuring products are produced to the required standards
• Monitoring in-process quality and taking action when issues arise to help prevent product holds
• Helping minimise equipment downtime while managing repair and spare-part costs effectively
• Supporting a safe, efficient and high-quality manufacturing environment

Preferred Requirements:

• An electrical or mechanical engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds or HND, or a time-served apprenticeship
• Experience within a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment
• Hands-on maintenance and fault-finding experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A practical, proactive approach to solving technical problems
• A passion for contributing to healthcare through high-quality manufacturing
