Job Description Summary

The QA Technician is accountable to assist the Quality Supervisor and / or Quality Engineer for the inspection, containment, investigation, and disposition of non-conforming products and / or validation activities. QA Tech will handle inspections and audits of products to ensure products meet quality specifications and standards. Maintains records and performs statistical analysis, as assigned, to evaluate trends and efficacy of inspection plans. Performs audit to Device History Record for completeness and compliance to specifications prior to final product release, as needed. Ensures that work performed conforms to ISO 13485 and OSHA standards and regulations. In addition, could be assigned to support the Quality final product inspection, quality incoming sampling and physical inspection of raw materials and components in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Job Summary:
The QA Technician is accountable to assist the Quality Supervisor and / or Quality Engineer for the inspection, containment, investigation, and disposition of non-conforming products and / or validation activities. QA Tech will handle inspections and audits of products to ensure products meet quality specifications and standards. Maintains records and performs statistical analysis, as assigned, to evaluate trends and efficacy of inspection plans. Performs audit to Device History Record for completeness and compliance to specifications prior to final product release, as needed. Ensures that work performed conforms to ISO 13485 and OSHA standards and regulations. In addition, could be assigned to support the Quality final product inspection, quality incoming sampling and physical inspection of raw materials and components in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Use standards sampling plans (e.g., ANSI Z4.1) to determine correct sample sizes and acceptance limits for quality characteristics and acceptance quality level stated in written procedures.
2. Assists in validation activities.
3. Properly document quarantine products and / or scrap products in corresponding forms.
4. Creates / Close Quality Notifications / NCMRs for non-conforming materials.
5. Supports investigations.
6. Support training and re-training of other employees, as required.
7. Responsible for inspection and timely disposition of materials and component, following approved procedures and specifications related to incoming/ finish inspection.
8. Responsible for the Line Clearance verification, as required.
9. Documents inspection performed in SAP system in an accurate and timely manner. Ensures that all inspection data is completed correctly.
10. Responsible for informing and take appropriate actions in the event of non-conformance noted during inspection or audits and document in appropriate rejection documents and / or SAP system. Perform product inspections.
11. Perform QA Verification for manufacturing labels.
12. Inspect finished product’s Device History Record for completeness and compliance to specifications prior to product release as well as coordinates correction of any deficiencies with Senior Quality Manager, Manufacturing Facilitator and/or Shift Leaders.
13. Maintains work area orderly.
14. Assures all instruments and gauges used in the area are calibrated and that the calibration is current.
15. Other duties may be assigned, as required.

Minimum Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or GED
