Job Description Summary

Provide training to new production associates and any associate assigned to new tasks. Assigns associates
to various jobs, as required to meet production schedules. Ensures products are manufactured in
accordance with approved specifications and procedures and in compliance with QSR, ISO 13485 and
Safety regulations. Participate in all team meetings, activities, team building initiatives and continuous
improvement activities.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Receives production, conducts cycle counts and receives and verifies raw materials. Ensures that materials required for assigned shifts are available.
2. Responsible to train employees in proper production techniques and practices for operations to be assigned.
3. Assigns employees to various jobs to align with production schedules.
4. Ensures that products are completed in a timely manner to align with production requirements.
5. Lead production operations to ensure manufacturing specifications and procedures are followed.
6. Verifies that set-ups and line clearances are performed in accordance to approved procedures. Assures that equipment and surrounding areas are properly identified, clean and free of extraneous materials and products.
7. Participate in Manufacturing Initiative (5S, BDPS, PVD Boards, etc.).

8. Review production documentation. Ensure that DHR's are completed and accurate prior to deliver them to Quality Assurance.

9. Ensures that production reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner to Accounting Department.
10. Ensures that acceptable quality levels are maintained for production processes and that all ASR, ISO 13485, and safety regulations are met.
11. Assure the cleaning and housekeeping procedures in the production areas are maintained in legible and orderly manner.
12. Verifies environmental conditions to ensure that they are within specified limits. Notifies Engineering Department immediately of any deviations.
13. Reviews and enters production data on SAP system at the end of each shift.

14. Maintains supplies of indirect manufacturing materials.
15. Notifies Manufacturing Facilitators immediately of any equipment malfunction that may affect production quality and/or output.
16. Maintains a constant check of components and raw materials transferred to production area and product manufactured in order to keep accurate inventory and ensure smooth flow of production.
17. Pursue ongoing goal of cost reductions.
18. Perform other related duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor.
19. Ensures that own work is performed in compliance with QSR, ISO Standard.
20. Participate in the SSU and Tier 1 meeting.
21. Coaching the associates to lead the SSU and Tier 1 meeting.
22. Other tasks may be assigned to support manufacturing activities, as required.

Education and Experience:
1. Associate Degree in Administration or related area.

2. Two to five Years of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.

3. Exposure to Shift Leader duties or proven leadership ability.
4. Two to five years experiences operating manufacturing equipment in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.

Knowledge and Skills:
1. Capable of reading and writing English/Spanish.
2. Good mathematical skills.
3. Good computer skills and familiar with Windows platform.
4. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
5. Preferably bilingual (Spanish & English).

Physical Demands: (if applicable)
1. Light work, which requires at times the carrying of up to twenty-five (25) pounds of equipment.
