The BD RxAuto Platform delivers automated pharmacy solutions to enable end-to-end medication safety, security, inventory optimization, and efficiencies. The RxAuto portfolio consists of hardware, software, and integrations all working together to address the unique needs and workflows across many different pharmacy environments. Collectively, the platform provides safe, secure, accurate, and automated medication management offerings that deliver clinical, operational, and financial benefits.
About the role:
This role will be responsible for leading a team of global product managers for the pouch packaging and pouch inspection product lines within the global BD RxAuto upstream marketing team. This people leader will be responsible for the product & innovation projects that are essential to deliver portfolio performance to meet business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Amongst the company, be an authority of your product portfolio and advocate for the benefit and advancement your work supplies to our customers daily.
- Function as a critical resource for defining, driving the strategy, and delivering results for your specific portfolio of products.
- Gain a deep understanding of market landscape, trends, customer needs and experience to identify and fill gaps that will generate innovative solutions to improve the customer experience, grow category share, and drive revenue.
- Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Provides recommendations into product line-related business decisions and resource planning.
- Demonstrates strong business and marketing foresight to conduct market assessments and provide strategic recommendations.
- Establishes strategic and tactical go-to-market, including product-level positioning, pricing, and messaging to be used by sales and marketing, supporting where to play, where to win.
- Leads market research activities (e.g., VoC) to develop fact-based customer insights.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be capable of thriving in ambiguous "white-space" environments and are able to create strategic direction and recommendations to shape business direction. Applicants will be strong communicators capable of managing a remote / geographically and culturally diverse team. Capability to communicate complex topics to senior executive leadership to drive alignment and "buy-in" on business direction will be essential. Capable of using marketing data and customer needs to influence core team and program investment decisions.
Required education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Technical or Scientific field, Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field required. MBA highly preferred.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant business experience in product management, marketing, market research, business development, sales & data analysis.
- Prior experience managing products across the product life cycle, including end of sale / life.
- Previously led product line Project / program projects
- Strong executive presence and effective communication skills with cross functional team experience
- 25-30% travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- Working in regulated medical device or pharmacy automation industry
- People management experience
- Experience commercially launching complex global products
- P&L experience
- Strong understanding of phased gate product development processes preferred
- Good understanding of systems integrations (EMR/PIS etc.) preferred.
- Strong technical (Software, Digital, Analytics, and Hardware) understanding around automation solutions that help handle medications and supplies
