Job Description

Overview

The Marketing Director will drive the marketing vision and strategy for Medication Management Solutions in Europe. Reporting to the Vice President/General Manager MMS EMEA, this role will be critical to the success of the BD MMS business within the BD Connected Care Segment.

In this role you will develop and implement the inspiring vision, marketing approach, and resources in Europe. Your goal is to unlock the potential, growth, and profitability of the MMS portfolio, services, and solutions.

The incumbent will lead a direct team of up to 10 delocalised associates and a total team of about 35 marketing associates.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements the inspiring vision, the marketing strategy, and capabilities in the Europe region to unlock the potential, growth, and profitability of the MMS portfolio, services, and solutions.

  • Builds strong organization, processes, and develops critical capabilities to drive integrated solutions and achieve the marketing strategy.

  • Serves as a leader and coach to their team. Drives marketing excellence by upskilling across marketing competencies. Requests robust organization and resources. Enables marketing harmonies for the marketing organization to cope with current and future opportunities.

  • Leads the monitoring and analysis of the Europe market (competition, industry trends, public policies) and develops compelling value proposition and value offers across the MMS portfolio.

  • Acts as a Marketing Champion in product launches including commercial excellence planning and execution.

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the MMS Europe BU marketing plan. Facilitates the translation of regional and WW marketing strategies into key tactical decisions and action plans.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • The ability to build and communicate a vision and strategy, set direction, drive practical execution of the strategy to overachieve business results.

  • An established track record to successfully operate in an international environment and experience in leading teams of professionals.

  • Experience leading marketing organizations of different formats and in diverse environments. ideally working experience in a matrix organization.

  • A deep understanding of customer needs, knowledge of European healthcare markets, market dynamics, and clinical standards to deliver innovation and improve health outcomes, better serve customer needs, and drive company results.

  • Strategic and analytical capabilities, and sound discernment: Data-driven demeanor demonstrated through insightful marketing and data-driven decision-making to advance strategic plans to action.

  • High level of intelligence, integrity, energy and commercial business judgement with demonstrated growth mindset and a consistent track record in Marketing Excellence and leadership with substantial experience in inspiring change initiatives and commercial and / or digital transformation.

  • Business management experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrated skills in attracting talent, leading and motivating teams - directly & indirectly to ensure that human resource capabilities and capacities are in place to successfully implement the afore-mentioned strategic priorities.

  • Establishes, reinforces, and supports a high-performance culture: models accountability, coaching, and commitment to associate development and teamwork; develops trust through ethical and consistent behaviors. Responsible for Talent Management within direct reporting lines and within broader MMS marketing organization.

Strong interpersonal skills are also important.   • Willingness to travel up to 40% of time for customer visits and internal meetings.

Qualifications

We are looking for a senior Marketing leader within the Medical Device industry with extensive depth and breadth of marketing expertise. We are particularly interested in those with experience in Capital Equipment and/or connectivity/software.

For most roles, we require a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week to maintain our culture of perfection and ensure smooth operations, while also recognizing the importance of flexibility and work-life balance.
