As a Procurement Manager for Contract Manufacturing (CM), you will be at the heart of our supplier strategy, leading key initiatives across the EMEA region. You will build a high‑performing network of partners, drive sourcing excellence, and support the launch of new solutions that transform healthcare.
The role requires at least five years of experience in procurement within complex global manufacturing environments, along with strong expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, and technical component understanding. You bring proven project management and governance skills, experience in international and matrixed environments, and excellent communication abilities in English and German proficiency would be an asset.

Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate BD’s Leadership Standards and Values while acting as a strong ambassador of procurement across the organization.
Lead high‑impact strategic initiatives and take full ownership of supplier projects to ensure efficient, effective, and timely execution.
Manage supplier relationships and contracts, developing multi‑year value plans and strengthening the preferred supply base.
Source, select, and deploy preferred suppliers into new product development programs, ensuring alignment with approved category strategies.
Provide hands‑on escalation support for critical supplier issues related to delivery, cost, or quality, ensuring rapid and sustainable resolution.
Support the full implementation of category strategies, including project management, stakeholder communication, reporting, market research, opportunity assessment, supplier identification and selection, negotiation, and contract execution.
Achieve defined targets for total cost savings, cash improvement, and supply chain risk mitigation in line with business strategic plans.
Drive continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives with preferred suppliers, delivering measurable gains in cost, performance, and supply resilience.
What you bring
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within complex, global manufacturing environments.
Strong expertise in category management and strategic sourcing, with a solid understanding of technical or industrial components.
Proven project management and governance capabilities, including planning, monitoring, and cross‑functional coordination.
Experience working in international project environments and navigating matrixed organizations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong storytelling and presentation abilities. German proficiency would be an asset.
Advanced negotiation skills and a deep understanding of supplier and component cost structures.
Demonstrated success in delivering strategic procurement initiatives with measurable business impact.
A mindset characterized by curiosity, resilience, and a passion for driving change, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse skill teams.
Compensation range: 145k–165k CHF fixed base.
