This position is accountable for the development of category strategies and supplier management activities on a global level.

The position is accountable for current year savings and value derived from an assigned set of categories of spend and supplier management activities.

Working directly with Procurement, Businesses and Corporate functions, this position must ensure timely execution of financial performance, supplier management activities and assurance of supply for materials and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Champion: Drive and execute category strategies and supplier management activities that deliver impressive year-over-year savings while building a robust 3-year savings pipeline and category value plans.
  • Supply Chain Guardian: Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical raw materials and services through collaborative partnerships across Business units, Functions, and Procurement teams. Serve as the primary leader during issue resolution or escalation point with team.
  • Relationship Architect: Cultivate and manage game-changing relationships with Strategic and preferred suppliers at regional and potentially global levels.
  • Leadership Catalyst: Inspire, coach, and mentor a talented team of procurement professionals, helping them reach their full potential while driving organizational excellence.
  • Strategic Collaborator: Work hand-in-hand with the Director of Category Management, Sr. Category Manager, and key business stakeholders to develop and execute regional category strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Supplier Relationship Maestro: Craft and implement supplier management strategies that align perfectly with business requirements, turning vendors into valued partners.
  • Risk Management Expert: Develop proactive and reactive risk mitigation strategies that protect our supply chain and business continuity.
  • Financial Impact Driver: Directly influence key performance metrics including financial performance, value delivery, and supply assurance for critical materials and services.
  • Cross-Functional Connector: Build and leverage a broad network across the organization to drive strategy alignment and execution excellence. Influence extends to peers, team members, sites, functions and key stakeholders.
  • Executive Communicator: Regularly interact with leadership at Manager and Director levels, with opportunities to engage Vice Presidents and BU Presidents on strategic initiatives.
  • Financial Wizard: Deliver an impressive 4%+ year-on-year return across your categories while upholding our supplier ethics and internal values.
  • Supply Chain Strategist: Ensure effective supplier management and uninterrupted supply through strategic relationship management.
  • Contract Negotiator: Identify opportunities for master supply agreements and secure contractual outcomes that deliver continuous value for our organization.
  • Innovation Champion: Continuously identify and implement improvement opportunities across Procurement for your assigned areas.
  • Value Creator: Enhance our financial position through cost savings, non-price value opportunities, and effective risk mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree in related field and 10 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to travel 50%
