Job Overview
BD is seeking a driven and compassionate Territory Manager to join our Interventional Surgery Division in the Kansas City, MO region. As a Territory Manager, you will play a vital role in advancing our mission of improving healthcare worldwide. You will be responsible for managing a territory base, expanding sales of our innovative infection prevention and biosurgery products, and fostering strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers, including surgeons, physicians, nurses, and sourcing professionals
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and planning skills
- Thorough understanding of the needs/analysis approach to sales and contract administration
- Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 80% of work time, including overnight stays
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant sales experience, with operating room/medical device experience preferred
- Documented successful sales performance
- Ability to work in an operating room environment
Desired Qualifications
- Procedure knowledge to illustrate the benefits of BD's products effectively
- Basic understanding of anatomy to discuss products in relation to the human body
Workplace Arrangements
This is a field-based role, with approximately 80% of work time spent traveling within the assigned territory. BD prioritizes on-site collaboration for most roles, requiring a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week to foster creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving.
