Reporting to the Sr Director, ISC Finance, the Lead, Operational Performance serves as a senior individual contributor within the FLOW (Finance Lean On‑Demand Workforce) team, flexing into critical gaps, priority initiatives, and transformation efforts across the ISC and broader enterprise. The role acts as a trusted finance partner to business and operations leaders, applying deep financial expertise and Kaizen principles to stabilize performance, improve flow, and enable disciplined execution during periods of change or constraint.
The Lead partners closely with plant finance, operations, ISC network teams, and central Operations Finance to support informed strategic and operational decision‑making. The role combines hands‑on execution with coaching and knowledge transfer, ensuring solutions are embedded sustainably and ownership is effectively transitioned back to the business.
This role does not have direct people‑management responsibility but carries significant influence through expertise, credibility, and cross‑functional leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead ad‑hoc finance engagements across diverse topics, flexing expertise into priority gaps and delivering high‑impact outcomes in dynamic environments.
- Lead finance execution in high‑impact situations, acting as a change leader by challenging the status quo and driving transformational initiatives.
- Partner with plant teams to ensure continuity of critical finance processes and reporting during periods of change or disruption.
- Oversee and standardize financial performance reporting to ensure consistency, transparency, and decision‑ready insights.
- Support cost improvement and productivity initiatives in close partnership with operations and finance stakeholders.
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership in product costing, leveraging detailed system knowledge to validate and update BOMs, routings, cost component splits, and manufacturing cost drivers to ensure accurate and standardized cost models.
- Contribute to planning, forecasting, and CB‑2 preparation, while reinforcing governance over capital and working‑capital processes.
- Analyze plant finance maturity assessments to identify best practices and scalability opportunities across the manufacturing network.
- Coach and mentor plant controllers on standardized processes and reporting to strengthen capability and consistency.
- Serve as a finance subject‑matter expert on cross‑functional teams, balancing business partnership with financial rigor, controls, and audit readiness.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration required
- MBA/ CPA/ CMA preferred
Experience
- Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing or operations finance through strong business partnership with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience in product and manufacturing cost accounting, including bottoms‑up costing methodologies, BOMs, routings, cost drivers, and standard cost updates within ERP systems
- Practical background owning and coordinating manufacturing finance planning activities
- Proven experience with internal controls and compliance
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong proficiency in financial systems and tools, with hands‑on experience leveraging SAP, BPC, to support accurate reporting, disciplined governance, and informed decision‑making.
- Highly self‑driven and proactive, with a mindset for continuous improvement and process discipline
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed manufacturing environment.
- Well‑organized with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication of financial information to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to strengthen internal controls and influence business decisions through sound accounting knowledge and data‑driven financial insights.
- Solid foundation in Cost Accounting, General Accounting, and core Finance principles
- Advanced Excel proficiency, with demonstrated experience building and managing complex financial models and analyses (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation)
- Audit experience preferred, including exposure to internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit‑ready documentation
