This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone eager to begin their regulatory affairs career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As a Regulatory Affairs Intern, 12‑month internship from May 11, 2026 to May 7, 2027, you will support BD’s Canadian operations by contributing to regulatory submissions, market authorizations, and ongoing compliance activities for a diverse portfolio of products, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and natural health products. This role is based at our Mississauga, Ontario office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Life cycle maintenance of Product Licenses including but not limited to assessment of changes to determine Health Canada reporting pathway
  • Assist in the management of regulatory compliance activities including coordination of product recalls, support during audits and inspections
  • Assist in the management of regulatory activities involving compliance to government regulations and maintenance of product licenses, establishment licenses and quality system certificates
  • Proactively suggest improvements to submission management based on emerging submissions intelligence
  • Assist with other BD business needs

Education and Experience required:

  • University degree in life sciences, engineering or related field required.
  • Post‑graduate certificate program in Regulatory Affairs, either currently enrolled or recently completed, is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian regulations for medical devices from a post graduate certificate program in regulatory affairs required.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian regulations for drugs preferred.
  • Regulatory affairs experience in the medical device industry preferred, pharmaceutical experience is an asset preferred.

Our salary or hourly rate rangesrewardassociates fairly and competitively. We regularly review these ranges and factors, such as location, contributeto the range displayed.

Our pay is based on the role and the necessary skills and education to perform it successfully. The salary or hourly rate offered isdeterminedby therole'sspecific requirements, including any applicable step rate pay system at the work location. Salary or hourly pay ranges are influenced by labor laws and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements applicable to the worklocationwhich may also affect the workplace arrangement of the role.

Salary Range Information: $24 CADHourly
