By aligning and streamlining our work, our Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business unit aims to drive growth and innovation in everything from integrated sample management to diagnostic solutions. The Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) unit is currently seeking:

The Buyer is responsible for managing the supply of materials and services throughout the production cycle, ensuring that inventory remains within planned levels through the use of MRP. They monitor compliance with delivery times and prices agreed upon with suppliers, report PPV raw materials to management, and
oversee the disposal of non-conforming materials. They also participate in improving supply chain processes and support import and export activities.

Job Description

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate purchase orders and scheduling with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery.
2. Review and respond to MRP messages, ensuring their proper execution.
3. Analyze and report PPV raw materials to Management periodically.
4. Monitor non-conforming materials and manage their disposition with suppliers.
5. Use the Electronic Documentation System to review supplies and specifications.
6. Participate in MRP meetings to report material status.
7. Collaborate with the Senior Buyer on strategies to reduce inventory and excess stock.
8. Implement supply chain process improvements.
9. Support TLCAN programs and certifications of origin for imports and exports.
10. Define and update MRP planning parameters for proper performance.
11. Troubleshoot the MRP system before executing purchase orders.
12. Oversee monthly inventory reports and set reduction goals.
13. Participate in cost improvement and process optimization projects (minimum three per year).
14. Review and follow up on invoice discrepancies, ensuring corrective measures are taken.
15. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor, aligned with the business's priorities and strategic
needs.

Requirements:

1.         Bachelor’s degree on Business Administration, MBA or additional certifications (preferred).

2.         3-5 years of experience managing procurement for manufacturing.

3.         Computer and ERP systems, Manufacturing Planning, Purchasing and Routes.

4.         Leadership and effective communication.

5.         English and Spanish (preferred).

6.         Able to travel and work with all organization levels.

7.         Drive for change and continuous improvement in the company.
