Job Description Summary

The Commercial Analytics Manager will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business unit. This individual will lead efforts in market and competitive analytics to support strategic growth and commercial excellence. By delivering actionable insights and building scalable analytical frameworks, the manager will help optimize investments, improve regional guidance, and help the business respond effectively to shifting market dynamics. This role is central to advancing BD’s commitment to continuous improvement and building a world-class commercial organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Collaboration & Reporting Standards

  • Collaborate with Strategy and BD Excellence teams to drive standard processes in commercial reporting and analytics, establish standardized analytics frameworks, and ensure consistent, high-quality insights across the organization
  • Define and track leading and lagging indicators to measure performance and guide proactive decision-making

Commercial & Competitive Analytics

  • Translate complex data into compelling business narratives that inform strategic decisions and drive commercial impact
  • Collaborate with regional partners to build data-driven market models that analyze growth rates, share shifts, and competitive dynamics
  • Support integrating these models across MDS to understand WAMGR outlook and create a unified view of market performance in both dollars and units
  • Identify, catalog and apply available data sources, including peer set earnings reports, to analyze competitive activity to support competitive intelligence and strategic planning

Market Events Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze external factors (e.g., flu season, census shifts, natural disasters, and macroeconomic trends) that impact demand and commercial performance to inform actionable recommendations for business planning

New Product Launch Forecasting

  • Provide subject matter expertise and partner with global product marketing teams to improve new product revenue assumptions and modeling

Portfolio Insights

  • Develop and maintain standardized pricing reports and analytical tools that equip platform and regional teams with actionable insights. Enable them to build and implement effective pricing strategies aligned with local market dynamics and global business objectives.
  • Support strategic investment decisions through data-driven lifecycle analysis of existing and new products

Education and/ or Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a closely related field
  • Preferred: MBA
  • 5+ years experience in marketing, finance, or general management in the medical device and/or life science industry
  • Strong analytical and modeling capabilities
  • Experience with pricing strategy and lifecycle management
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Familiarity with global healthcare markets and commercial dynamics
  • Collaborative approach with ability to work cross-functionally across platforms and regions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and regulatory
