The Director RxAutomation Consultancy Services reports directly to the VP RxAutomation and is responsible for developing a team of high performing individuals that focus on assessing workflows to enhance operational efficiency, improve processes, and drive overall productivity across various pharmacy settings.

Business objectives include achieving/surpassing financial targets in the US region via direct leadership of five associates which include clinical consultants, technical consultants and a specialty pharmacy consultant. In this role the Consultancy Director must have a keen understanding of the macro-economic environment to develop strategies for the deployment of the consultants to ensure operational excellence at Health Systems and Specialty pharmacy locations. The Consultancy Director will also be responsible for establishing relationships within key accounts to develop and maintain reference sites and Centers of Excellence, and further strategic partnerships with RxAutomation.  The Consultancy Director role also requires strong collaboration with the sales leaders in the US Region, Implementation, Customer Service and Executive team and routinely interfaces with the aforementioned cross functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive execution of the RxAutomation portfolio strategy to achieve/surpass revenue and profit growth targets for US Region

  • Lead workflow assessments to uncover innovation opportunities and provide tailored solutions

  • Develop a comprehensive and standardized program to optimize pharmacy operations. This program will include best practices, workflow improvements, and technology adoption.

  • Create a detailed framework for implementing the standardized programs across various pharmacy settings and establish mechanisms for continuous improvement and updates to the program based on customer feedback and performance data

  • Utilize data analytics to monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and measure the impact of optimization efforts

  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of markets, products, and buying processes for Health Systems and Specialty customers

  • Continually monitor and ensure proper communication of relevant market trends to update senior executives relative to customer behaviors and market landscape

  • Identify opportunities to expand business across the BD MMS portfolio

  • Develop and retain a team of high performing individuals made up of clinical and technical consultants by educating, providing direction, coaching, and feedback for the RxAutomation Consultancy Team

  • Partner with the VP RxAutomation to determine appropriate compensation programs that aligns priorities, motivates effective behavior, and rewards achievement

  • Effectively partner and collaborate with the Commercial, Implementation and Customer Service Teams, and Enterprise Account Managers

  • Handle business processes including efficient deployment of resources and tracking of activities/progress throughout the fiscal year

  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of markets, products, and buying processes for Health Systems and Specialty customers

  • Continually monitor and ensure proper communication of relevant market trends to update senior executives relative to customer behaviors and market landscape

  • Participate in the Portfolio Decision Team (PDT) to ensure the team is prepared to maximize the impact of new product development

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • PharmD or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred.

  • Market expertise in pharmacy applications with a preference for practical experience  

  • Proven track record of developing complex, outcomes-based solutions in healthcare

  • Strong understanding of healthcare economics, reimbursement models, and value-based care

  • Strong commercial and financial savvy

  • Experience cultivating KOL relationships

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment

  • Experience influencing and connecting multiple decision makers

  • Critical thinking, analytical and implementation skills (ability to translate data into useful tactics and strategies)

  • Ability to manage multiple high-stakes engagements simultaneously, with a focus on long-term client success

  • Willingness to travel 50%+
