Job Summary
Are you ready to advance your engineering career? Come on board as an Senior Mechanical Engineer, where you will assist with R&D projects for current products and product expansions and contribute to CAPA projects needing mechanical expertise. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in teams, communicating effectively, and solving problems in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. You will collaborate closely with senior and staff engineers and cross-functional teams to design, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems and components, engaging with internal and external vendors and contractors.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the development process by transitioning concepts to product development, while participating in agile iterative build processes to continuously improve modules and systems.
Facilitate effective communication with cross-functional partners (both internal and external) to clearly define build inputs/outputs, and decompose complex system requirements into detailed subsystem or mechanical specifications.
Produce high-quality technical documentation including engineering analysis, test protocols, comprehensive reports, and CAD design outputs that meet organizational standards.
Apply both theoretical knowledge and hands-on mechanical expertise to identify problems and implement solutions, while collaborating cross-functionally to address complex challenges under time-sensitive deadlines.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of and adherence to BD processes, composition practices, and documentation templates to ensure consistency and compliance across all engineering activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field, providing the fundamental knowledge base necessary for the role.
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software and principles, along with a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated capability to apply analytical thinking and problem-solving techniques to complex engineering challenges in practical scenarios.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
Familiarity with prototyping and testing methodologies, particularly with modern fabrication technologies such as 3D printing for rapid development and iteration.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with design control and quality system requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA QSR) is a significant plus.
Proficiency in 3D CAD design software (SolidWorks preferred).
2-5 years of background in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in the medical device or another regulated sector.
