Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple processes on high-speed automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment.

  • Participate in all equipment changeovers or setups.

  • Monitor assigned processes to ensure high-quality production.

  • Remove defective product from automated or semi-automated processes.

  • Conduct on-the-job training for other associates.

  • Participate in self-directed work responsibilities including attendance, scheduling, compliance audits, etc.

  • Maintain equipment and cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down equipment.

  • Maintain open communication to ensure timely resolution of problems or changes.

  • Maintain records and documentation as required.

  • Determine the cause of quality issues and take appropriate action per task documents.

  • Perform Process Control Operator duties as needed.

  • Work overtime as required by the department.

  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities including 5S, blitzes, Shift Start-up, and updating PVD boards.

  • Continuously improve through the KAS program, meeting departmental goals.

  • Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations.

  • Comply with BD quality policies and procedures through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills (English), basic math skills, and interpersonal skills.

  • 1–2 years of manufacturing/production experience preferred.

  • Good dexterity and coordination required.
