Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and leveraging market opportunities in the continence market segment. It develops marketing strategies, education programs, and campaigns to boost the adoption of BD’s continence solutions. The position requires close collaboration with global, regional, and local teams, as well as clinical, medical affairs, and market access functions, to meet commercial objectives and establish BD as the market leader. Success relies on strong influencing skills, ownership, resilience, agility, sense of urgency, entrepreneurial leadership, and the ability to build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description

  • Market Development & Strategy: Identify and develop business opportunities for the continence portfolio by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Target segmentation strategy development in the acute and long-term / home care setting within the priority region, and the development of market-specific strategies.
  • Develop marketing strategies and oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of multi-channel campaigns—including social media, email, content marketing, and paid advertising—to increase awareness and adoption of BD’s continence solutions.
  • Value propositions development tailored to key stakeholders (e.g., Surgeons, Urinary Care Teams, Infection Preventionists, WOC nurses, Nurse Managers, Community Nurses, Homecare patients and families, and Procurement).
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Medical Affairs, Compliance) to align marketing initiatives with business goals and create entablements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to support market growth and educational efforts.
  • Professional Education & Clinical Support: Design and execute state-of-the-art educational and training programs for healthcare professionals to boost knowledge and adoption of BD’s continence solutions.
  • Provide clinical support, including product demonstrations and training sessions for both customers and internal teams.
  • Performance Monitoring & Budget Management: Monitor campaign effectiveness and commercial KPIs; adjust strategies to maximize ROI.
  • Oversee the budget and financial aspects of marketing and educational programs, ensuring cost-efficiency and compliance with budget limits. Continuously assess program impact through feedback and metrics, refining content to meet evolving needs.
  • Develop a tailored evidence generation strategy specific to the priority market by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Marketing operations utilizing company systems in designated portfolios, including internal document reviews, project appraisal, PO generation, and system requests.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in marketing or market development, preferably in the continence care segment within the medical device and/or consumer.
  • Extensive sales and marketing experience in the continence segments, combined with strong customer relationship skills and customer engagement experience.
  • Results-oriented and capable of persuading cross-functional teams without formal authority, demonstrating notable ownership, resilience, and agility, sense of urgencyß
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills across.
  • Strong project management skills; capable of handling and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Skilled in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with company systems.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred. Professional nursing background is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally when needed (+30%)
