Job Description Summary
BD Medication Management Solutions is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Global Customer Services team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality onsite technical support and training to biomedical engineering teams across healthcare facilities.Your primary focus will be on the maintenance and servicing of our advanced medical technologies, including Infusion Devices, Automated Dispensing Cabinets and Pharmacy Robotics. This includes performing both corrective and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance, reliability and compliance with Medical Device Regulations.
This is a field base role covering Southwest England and Wales ideally located on the M4 corridor Reading to Swindon including occasional national travel and overnight stays.

Main responsibilities will include:
- Perform on-site or remote technical support & training, including installation, corrective and planned maintenance adhering to customer service level agreements.
- Provide exemplary customer service, escalate technical and customer satisfaction concerns and retain ownership of resolution
- Build strong relationships that support and drive commercial growth, operational efficiencies, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and data entry our customer service management systems, compliant with KPI’s and Medical Device Regulation
- Manage day to day personal planning making efficient use of your time, ensuring you have relevant tools that are within calibration. Build and maintain an efficient car stock inventory.
- Strictly respect and compliance with Departmental Processes, BD Quality Systems and Health and Safety regulations as required by BD organisation, customers and Distributor Agreements
About you:
- ONC/HNC in an electronic engineering discipline or demonstrable work experience within a technical field service industry
- Ideally strong I.T. background and experience, knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking technologies, troubleshooting and configuration. (CompTIA Network+ certification desirable)
- Are customer focussed and have a proven track record of providing high quality service and repair in a high volume and pressure environment.
- Have strong interpersonal and professional skills with the ability to articulate, promote and sell service products and value propositions
- Hold a clean driving license

For this position, the expected base salary ranges from £40,000 to £50,000 per annum. This reflects a more accurate range than the broader salary band indicated at the end of the job advertisement. The role also includes additional benefits, including an annual bonus
