About the role

As an Accounting Team Leader, your day will be filled with opportunities to lead, collaborate, and drive process improvements. You'll plan and coordinate inventory and closing activities, ensuring efficient financial operations. Partnering with teams, you'll identify areas for standardization and centralization, streamlining processes for optimal performance.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Inventory & Closing:Plan, coordinate, and execute activities to enhance service effectiveness. Identify and drive process standardization and centralization opportunities.
• Team Leadership:Lead and develop a team of 7 General Accounting Reviewers in collaboration with General Accounting Managers. Implement internal control improvements and ensure policy adherence. Partner with Genpact to ensure service delivery.
• Operational Management:Oversee financial services execution within Inventory & Closing. Initiate and participate in relevant projects and system upgrades.
• People Management:Hire, develop, and coach team members. Translate BD Finance's vision and strategy to the team. Organize team meetings, manage recruitment, and conduct regular 1-1s to empower team members. Implement training and development plans.
• Internal Controls & Quality Assurance:Ensure execution of internal and SOX controls to maintain the integrity of financial data and transactions.
• Process Expertise & Improvements:Support Finance teams with specific issues, standardize processes, and propagate best practices to improve service quality.
• SLA & Metrics Reporting:Monitor SLA commitments, propose improvements, and contribute to metric analysis and reporting. Lead or participate in projects to implement new business or process developments.

About you

• Relevant business or accounting degree
• Min 5 years experience in an Accounting/Finance role
• Analytical and decision-making skills
• Fluent English level
• Resilient and persistent when faced with obstacles
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to motivate self and others to reach common goals
• Open to develop yourself in the people skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required and SAP knowledge is a plus
