Job Description Summary

As Strategic Tender and Planning Manager, you will :

- Achieve the assigned Business objectives (Turnover, Gross Profit, Selling expenses) relating to the Cluster Italy and France and coordinated the assigned structure, in line with the strategic plan agreed with the Senior Business Director Italy &Greece and France

- Actively contribute to the definition of strategies, business objectives and to identify new market development opportunities in relation to business segments

- Be responsible for the planning, management of the tender team and related training and development

- Manage commercial and institutional relations with the regional purchase platform and administrative partner

- Be the talk to sales, marketing, Application teams in developing a value-based approach to tenders and/ or negotiations.

Job Description

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out an accurate analysis of performances and scenarios / trends at a national level to identify new opportunities / business / market development projects as well as new and more modern commercial approaches.
  • Coordinate the legal budget definition process through the involvement of the entire commercial structure.
  • Analyze and monitor the main KPI's relating to the BO management, any deviations from the assigned objectives (forecast), proposing, where necessary, any corrective actions to the Senior Business Director aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the field
  • Organize meetings with the aim of providing guidelines and priorities, checking the progress of major projects, sharing standard processes, sharing new business opportunities, creating moments of sharing and development
  • Supervise the main administrative Key Opinion Leaders by planning their visits together with the Regional Sales Managers as well as directly supervising some Executive customers
  • Ensure that all information relating to tenders, as well as all the main activities planned and implemented are promptly entered into a data collection system and shared with the company management if needed.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Application and Sales teams in pursuing the sales objectives of products and services applying a value-based approach or an Integrated microbiology solution value proposition
  • Be the direct point of reference for the management of any executive administrative customers who carry out activities at national level
  • Propose any changes / revision of the commercial contracts in place with commercial partners
  • Participate in European meetings and task forces to discuss business strategies and related actions in support of the business.
  • Look after the development and training of resources by defining development plans for each collaborator, verifying the results and carrying out direct coaching activities. It plans, implements and effectively controls the training programs of the new collaborators inserted into the commercial structure
  • Proposes any reward-related interventions and deals with their implementation.

About you

  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree.
  • Professional courses in solution selling and project management
  • Proven experience in the role
  • In-depth knowledge of the mechanisms and logic of purchase via tender or direct negotiations but also in the management of administrative key partners in complex environments
  • Knowledge of Economics and in particular of Health Economics, value base approach and purchase path
  • Knowledge of sales techniques such as Solution selling / Strategic Selling / Consultive Selling
  • Knowledge of project management techniques
  • Knowledge of planning and control techniques
  • Team leadership: Hiring & staffing; Developing direct reports
