Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Senior Quality Investigator to join our team within a medical device environment. In this role, you will lead comprehensive investigations into customer complaints, internal non-conformances, and other quality issues. Your objective will be to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in line with regulatory and internal standards. You will collaborate across functions including Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, Design Assurance, Technical Services, Customers, and Suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations of customer complaints, non-conformances, and other quality issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and company procedures.

  • Identify root causes and drive the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), including effectiveness checks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution and documentation of quality events.

  • Interface directly with customers and suppliers during the investigation process when required (lead for cause audits, technical visit, calls)

  • Support audits and regulatory inspections with relevant investigation documentation.

  • Maintain high-quality documentation including deviations, CAPA records, and technical reports using appropriate systems and tools.

  • Apply statistical tools and advanced problem-solving methodologies throughout the investigation process: 8D, DMAIC (lean six-sigma), PSM, A3, PDCA

  • Support and guide junior team members, providing mentorship and sharing best practices.

  • Be prepared to travel occasionally to customer sites, supplier facilities, or other BD sites.

About You

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in quality assurance, Engineering, or related scientific discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices.

  • Demonstrated expertise in CAPA investigations, technical writing, and regulatory compliance.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Fluency in professional English (written and oral).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; statistical knowledge is required.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable plans.

  • Excellent communication skills (customer – supplier facing) and ability to influence in a matrix organization

  • Detail-oriented with sound judgment and ability to make decisions supported by technical justification.

  • Proficiency in technical documentation systems and quality tools (8D, root cause analysis, etc.).

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel as required (up to 20%).
