At BD, our R&D Engineering team is at the forefront of brand new technology, owning the way in groundbreaking innovation and invention of advanced medical devices. We are committed to delivering innovative solutions that enhance patient outcomes and revolutionise healthcare.

About the role

As an R&D Engineer III / Senior Engineer I, you will lead research and development efforts for sophisticated medical devices, will collaborate with multiple functions to invent, build, and launch new products, with a focus on innovative medical device creation, prototype development, and testing.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Build and develop new products and processes for medical devices
• Lead multi-functional teams in developing and crafting medical devices
• Conduct engineering evaluations and unit testing
• Develop and validate new test methods
• Prepare and review technical documents and reports
• Train and mentor R&D technicians and engineers
• Handle project budgets and conduct cost analysis

About you

You have a B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Chemical Engineering, with 4-9 years of industrial experience in R&D or process development, preferably in medical devices. You demonstrate hands-on technical competence, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in statistical software. Experience in process validation and leading multi-functional teams is crucial.
