The Director, Marketing, Strategic Customers and Communications, is responsible for leading growth strategies for MMS National and Strategic accounts.  Additionally, the leader will drive and coordinate differentiated MMS communications across channels for maximum influence to contribute to growth commitments via funnel growth, lead acceleration contribution and enhanced portfolio value awareness.  It will be critical to ensure coordination across all MMS medication use areas for target segments and personas.  The leader will recommend communications standards, briefs and help with agency selection for the >$2B portfolio.  This leader will cultivate customer and associate engagement for MMS solutions including clear and concise communication of Marketing strategies and growth plans.    The Director will lead and develop a team of associates including digital, tradeshows, and communications

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading enterprise-level marketing growth programs targeted at Strategic and National Accounts.  Creating and developing MMS-level messaging and tools to retain at-risk customers and convert competitive targets. 

  • MMS Mega Message Incorporation, additionally select med use solution value props depending on headroom opportunities.  Consider heatmap to guide priority programs. 

  • Partner closely with sales including customers visits to ensure customer priority needs are being addressed and messaging is resonating and resulting in intended behavior. 

  • Coordination with strategic pricing to integrated total cost of ownership, cost of change and acquisition model elements where messaging needs to align.

  • Incorporation of select product roadmaps across MMS for key customer opportunities and ensure elevated connections are made that extend beyond MMS and within Connected Care Vision.

  • Partner with Medical/Clinical to incorporate key clinical evidence and differentiators to deliver credible, why change why now why BD messaging. 

  • Drive targeted account-based marketing programs to drive new leads and accelerate opportunities through the sales process to deliver increased closed-won.

  • Coordinate with US region marketing and SCG to ensure coordination in key strategic targets.

  • Identify messaging and resources for clinical teams to align with strategic imperatives and help enable commercial gap to excellence priority areas.

  • Lead all MMS communications strategy including omni-channel strategy to drive funnel creation lead acceleration and increase overall portfolio brand awareness and competitiveness.  Lead execution of omnichannel campaign to engage and cultivate customers throughout their buying journey and ensure common tone and experience across channels.   Consider PR, tradeshows and digital channels. 

    • Design the best program strategy to deliver the right messaging to the right audience at all stages of the customer buying process

    • Create solution communication strategy and plan recommending strategic content topics, campaigns and execute optimal mix of channels. 

    • Lead technology stack to successfully deploy the communication strategy plan and execution.  Own website content and lead gen integration.

    • Own the KPIs and overall metrics associated with programs and campaign to track effectiveness.  If results are less than expected, identify root causes and pivot to more effective marketing strategies as needed.

    • Lead the weekly Promotional Review Committee meeting which includes Medical, Legal, Regulatory and Marketing leaders, handling the agenda, influencing positive outcomes and process improvements, documenting decisions and reporting critical metrics.  Ensure all content is aligned with BD standards and guidance.

    • Create internal messaging for MMS LT, VP of Marketing and Sales to drive clarity and promote key customer communications.

    • Build and develop lead gen capability in region, liaison with BDX U.S. Region and Pharmacy Automation business development reps.   

    • Drive proactive, contemporary, innovative engagement strategies such as SEO and social influencers.

  • Recommend and advise optimal communications strategies and approaches to U.S. Medication Use leaders including agency selection, creative brief feedback and alignment with MMS, standards and KPI benchmarks.

  • Lead, coach and develop team of marketing communications managers, content strategiest, tradeshow, demo, and digital associates.  

  • Point for cross MMS strategy planning, coordination and team communications such as Annual Strategy Reviews, Marketing Plans, Quarterly business reviews, etc..

  • Support websites, content, message integration and optimization. 

  • Responsible for Marketing Discretionary Spend budget and actuals tracking. Ensure programs are prioritized to needle mover initiatives and clear return on investment.

Measuring Success & Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify key KPIs and targets including estimates of the impact associated with each program.

  • Track program success and communicate it efficiently and frequently.  Drive continuous improvements to assemble end to end traceability of the funnel.

  • Identify and use digital metrics to optimize campaign results and spend.

  • Drive continuous performance improvement through the identification, documentation, implementation of demand creation standard processes.
