Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is seeking highly motivated high school students for a technical internship program. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional maintenance and operations environment, supporting various projects and contributing to the development of innovative medical technology.

Job Responsibilities

As a High School Technical Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist controls technicians and engineers basic laboratory tasks, data collection, and experimental setup.

• Support the organization and maintenance of technical documentation, equipment, and supplies.

• Perform entry-level data analysis and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

• Contribute to ongoing projects by conducting research, gathering information, and supporting problem-solving efforts.

• Learn and apply fundamental technical skills relevant to the assigned work area.

• Participate in team meetings, observe professional practices, and ask questions to enhance learning.

• lAdhere to al company safety protocols and procedures.

Job Qualifications
To be considered for the High School Technical Intern position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a high school student (preferably rising junior or senior).

• Demonstrated interest in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).

• Strong academic record with a focus on relevant coursework (e.g., robotics, engineering, algebra, geometry, physics, chemistry, computer science).

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• A strong desire to learn and contribute to a professional setting.

For most roles, we require a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week to maintain our culture of excellence and ensure smooth operations, while also recognizing the importance of flexibility and work-life balance.
