Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Identify, monitor, and address organizational training needs
  • Design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures
  • Provide leadership for site-wide manufacturing training activities
  • Develop cross-training and certification programs in collaboration with safety, quality, operations, and engineering
  • Ensure all training requirements are met and properly documented
  • Maintain compliance with BD quality systems and safety regulations

Key Duties:

  • Oversee plant training organization and ensure compliance
  • Optimize training processes and associated tools
  • Supervise direct reports, conduct regular one-on-ones, and manage performance reviews
  • Ensure training materials remain current, accurate, and effective
  • Create curriculum aligned with plant strategic goals
  • Establish performance metrics to track training effectiveness
  • Develop robust training matrices by department
  • Provide regular status updates to Plant Leadership Team
  • Review and enhance new associate onboarding
  • Support operations leadership as needed

Requirements include excellent communication skills, English proficiency, punctual attendance, and commitment to BD values.

Education and/ or Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in teaching, business or related field required.
  • Three years’ training, and curriculum development experience required.
  • One-year relevant experience as a direct supervisor required.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • One-year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience working with FDA, GMPs, and ISO requirements preferred.
  • Previous experience utilizing Lean/Continuous Improvement training methodology preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding and experience with a Learning Management System - Proficient
  • Understanding and experience with using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Proficient
  • Working knowledge of Quality Systems regulatory requirements and application to Company/Unit requirements preferred
