Reporting to the Director, ISC Finance for PS, the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Finance, based in Columbus, Nebraska, serves as the primary financial business partner to the plant and a key member of the Plant Leadership Team. The role partners closely with operations, the PS Network, and Operations Finance central teams to support informed strategic and operational decision‑making while ensuring disciplined, standardized, and compliant financial execution.
Key responsibilities include oversight of financial performance reporting, support of cost improvement initiatives, CB‑2 preparation, and capital governance processes, as well as ownership of internal controls related to material inventory, including physical inventories and cycle counting activities. The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Finance also serves as a financial subject‑matter expert on cross‑functional teams, balancing strong business partnership with financial rigor, accuracy, and audit readiness.

About the role:

The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Finance, serves as the primary financial business partner to the plant and a key member of the Plant Leadership Team. The role partners closely with operations, the PS Network, and Operations Finance central teams to support informed strategic and operational decision‑making while ensuring disciplined, standardized, and compliant financial execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  •  Serve as a trusted finance partner to operations, providing financial insight and guidance to support decision‑making related to overall site performance, continuous improvement initiatives, capital and CB‑2 activities, new product cost development, strategic sourcing, and other business priorities.
  • Partner with Operations Finance central teams to establish and maintain accurate standard costs, ensuring alignment with operational objectives and cost improvement targets.
  • Support development of annual strategic plans, the annual budget, and quarterly forecasts for the manufacturing site, partnering with cross-functional teams to validate production volumes, productivity assumptions, cost structure, and staffing and overhead levels, while ensuring accurate reflection of manufacturing variances and start‑up costs.
  • Lead financial support for capital investment activities, including development, review, and governance of capital expenditures, and oversight of capital budgeting, forecasting, and project‑level spending analysis.
  • Partner with supply chain to monitor inventory performance, including inventory levels and days inventory on hand (DIO), ensuring alignment with ISC targets.
  • Oversee timely and accurate financial performance reporting, including review and approval of reporting prepared by the plant and extended finance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, legal/statutory requirements, and internal finance policies, serving as a key steward of financial discipline and audit readiness for the site.
  • Maintain ownership of inventory control processes, including oversight of physical inventory and cycle count programs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and control effectiveness.
  • Drive standardization and process efficiency initiatives in partnership with Operations Finance and the PS Network, supporting continuous improvement of financial processes and ways of working.
  • Develop, coach, and support GBS resources supporting the site, strengthening financial capability, business partnership, and adherence to standardized processes and controls.
  • Lead and support special projects as required, in partnership with cross-functional teams

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration
  • Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing or operations finance through strong business partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Practical background owning and coordinating manufacturing finance planning activities
  • Experience supporting and influencing cost improvement, CB‑2, and capital initiatives
  • Proven experience with internal controls and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to strengthen internal controls and influence business decisions through sound accounting knowledge and data‑driven financial insights.
  • Solid foundation in Cost Accounting, General Accounting, and core Finance principles
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, with demonstrated experience building and managing complex financial models and analyses (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation)
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems and tools, with hands‑on experience leveraging SAP, BPC, to support accurate reporting, disciplined governance, and informed decision‑making.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA
  • CPA/CMA
  • Audit experience preferred, including exposure to internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit‑ready documentation
