Industrial & Process engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing laborstandards, operation procedures, and equipment data at BOC Juarez. Engineering shall also provide
technical support to the manufacturing organization to achieve the overall manufacturing goal of consistently
producing quality low-cost products.
Job Description
• Involvement in manufacturing process. • Responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing operating procedures. • Responsible for validations in the processes involving IQ/OQ including equipment, sealers, new materials, and tools used for manufacturing process. • Complete studies of machine capacity and method studies to improve manufacturing process to improve equipment and manpower utilization. • Identify, develop, and lead cost improvement projects by developing more cost-effective methods for producing products. • Preparation of labor performance and machine utilization reports to assist in controlling direct and indirect labor and machine costs. • Lead cross-functional teams to support part and product redesign programs that will improve manufacturability and reduce products scraps and costs. • Recommend manpower and equipment requirements for both new and existing manufacturing processes. • Continually upgrade and improve operation and performance of existing equipment and processes through redesign and enhancements. • Ensure that manufacturing processes and procedures comply with FDA and GMP regulations by completing the required process and equipment qualification studies. • Lead projects teams in support of plans for transitioning processes to BD Mexico Operation from other BD facilities • Ensure manufacturing equipment complies with Mexico Safety Regulations by completing necessary modifications of enhancements. • Lead inter-departmental teams to resolve chronic production issues that affect production performance especially when issues require technical support. • Mandatory compliance to general and safety procedures applying to this position. • Any additional activities as required. • Participate or lead the assigned CAPA’s
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or biomedical engineering. • Experience of 3 year in industrial/ process engineering preferably.
• Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) including “hands-on applications” strongly desired. Knowledge in production process, costs, Quality, raw material, and other methods to maximize production. • Process engineering preferably, in labor standards, methods, workplace layouts and material flow. • Ability to conceptualize ideas and focus individuals and teams to drive projects to completion on time and on budget. • Experience in manufacturing processes including hand assembly and automated assembly technologies preferably. • Analytical and problem-solving skills application. • Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively with management, technical and operation personnel. • Ability to communicate well, both orally and written in English
