This Manufacturing Engineer (f/m/d) designs, develops and implements new products, processes, test methods and equipment of a medical device as part of Sustaining Engineering (CTW Projects, Design changes as part of spec remediation projects / activities).This position is responsible for conducting engineering studies for design, process improvements and validations including and not limited to:
- Develop and implement design improvements and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead and coordinate improvement projects, including validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement.
- Comply with regulations, safety requirements and promote best practices.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer (f/m/d) in Wangs, Switzerland.
Primary Duties:
Specify, review, and revise methods and documentation for the manufacturing of components, assemblies, and final products.
Conduct and lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. OpEx, Lean, Six Sigma) as well as other projects as needed.
Provide technical support and act as an interface to R&D, QE, QA, and production.
Perform Design of Experiments (DoE), process capability analyses, and root cause analyses (e.g. 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and write reports. Proficient in statistical technics and usage of software (e.g. Minitab)
Support production lines and develop and transfer new products and processes.
Execute and document DVVs, process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ) and support Test Method Validations (TMV).
Basic tooling, design and drafting knowledge
Monitor processes, collect and analyze data.
Document all activities in accordance with regulatory and internal standards
Any additional activities as required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s (Dipl.-Ing.) in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other related engineering discipline. Biomedical
Engineering or Bioengineering Master’s Degree preferred.Experience: 4-7 years of industrial experience in medical device or other regulated FDA/QSR and ISO environment (Master’s degree plus 1-3 years medical device or equivalent industry experience)
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience in designing, manufacturing or prototyping of medical devices (preferably catheters or similar).
Experience in regulated environments (ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA).
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is an advantage.
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and solution-focused.
Fluent in English, written and spoken. Fluency in German is a strong plus
Very good organization and planning skills
Ability to lead projects with internal or cross functional teams.
Effective communication skills.
Good skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
